Ciara and Alice represented the school in this competition which was held in a packed Mercy gym before a Wildcats game. They were presented with their prizes by TV presenter and Dublin footballer Jason Sherlock. Boys and Girls teams win their leagues. On
Monday 14th of March 2005, our school enjoyed great success when we came first
in the Sixth Class Division 2 Girls Basketball Blitz. The team consisted of
Natasha Whelan, Kelly Fitzsimons,Shannon Power, Debbie Power, Lisa Mc Grath,
Claire Nolan and Aisling Kelly. Absent on the day due to illness or injury were
Michelle Hallissey (captain), Wendy Heffernan
(vice- captain)and Caitriona Dineen.Natasha Whelan replaced Michelle
Hallissey as captain on the day.Here are some more details about this wonderful

An older and physically stronger Portlaw team completely outclassed the
brave Presentation girls in the opening match.The talented Portlaw side
displayed some wonderful passing skills and accurate shooting.Natasha Whelan and
Kelly Fitzsimons proved to be very reliable all-round for Portlaw and substitute
Claire Nolan's contribution of six points brought Portlaw to a final tally of 29
